I thought the problem has something to do with the framebuffer errors so I followed but it didn’t help.

Installing with apt-get, gdebi, manually (basically everything from Installed Teamviewer using a 64-bit system, but I get a dependency error).

The TeamViewer tar version works fine (I can connect remotely using my ID and password), but the installed version keeps displaying Not ready. Currently I have ubuntu-desktop running and TightVNC working.

The actual hindrance is SELinux: type=AVC msg=audit(1611458278.Trying to install TeamViewer on Ubuntu 14.04 AWS EC2 instance with K80 GPU. The error about the PID and permission denied is a red-herring. Verify it is running: sudo systemctl status teamviewerd I think because Silverblue’s directory tree is a bit unusual the service files don’t get installed correctly, but asking the teamviewer application to enable the daemon installs them successfully. Install teamviewer and reboot: sudo rpm-ostree install teamviewer*.rpm

I have only tested this with my computer being the guest/local, I haven’t tested the Silverblue platform as the host/remote. For anyone needing this mix of software, this is how I got it to work for me on Silverblue 33 and Teamviewer 15.11.6. I use Teamviewer for work but also wanted to try Silverblue.
